To use this application you must have:

• an Agent
• seen the property you wish to rent

In order to complete the application you will need to have the following information:

• Your Current Address Information
• Your Previous Address Information
• Your Employment Information
• Your Financial Information
• Your Agent’s Information
• Your Vehicle Information

You must complete the entire application in order to submit it to Long & Foster, along with a check covering the Application Fee and Earnest Money Deposit. Partially completed applications will not be processed.

What happens to my Rental Application once it is submitted?

• Your application will be reviewed for completeness. Incomplete or illegible applications will delay processing.
  If issues exist, you will be contacted by your agent.
• Your Non-refundable Application fee will be deposited to cover the cost of processing.
• Your Earnest Money Deposit check will be held pending the disposition of your application and lease execution.
• Your application will be processed and the results presented to the owner for their review.
• You will be notified of the owner's decision.

Please note: Submission of a rental application does not guarantee acceptance of application or renting of property to applicant.

What are the Fees?

• Processing Fee: The $40.00 per applicant fee covers the costs associated with processing the application and is non-refundable.
• Earnest Money Deposit: Usually equal to one full month’s rent or an amount specified by the owner, held in a non-interest bearing account by Long & Foster, until the application is processed, presented to the landlord, and approved or declined.

Once a decision has been reached, your Earnest Money Deposit will be processed according to your Rental Application terms.

How will I know whether my application is accepted?

Once your application has been presented and a decision has been made, you will be contacted by your agent with further instructions.
